My name is Nikoline Hansen, I am born in the most southern part of Denmark, this is also where I crew up. Spending the first 19 years of my life in a small village out in the country!
I know you are supposed to write something short and fancy, which in a few words describes who you are!Well first of all I’m more complicated than that…
I’m cyclo cross maniac, for the moment I’m trying to figure out, how cyclo cross life is like down here in the mother land of CX = Belgium. Cycling has been my main passion ever since I as age 6 started plaguing my dad that I wanted to race! In stead of allowing me to race we went to the nearest bikeshop and I got my first mountainbike. After 2 years of more plaguing I was allowed to start racing my roadbike! Ever since I haven’t looked back, and currently I’m living in Belgium where I’m a professional cyclo-cross rider, as crazy as it may sounds.
So far it has been 16 years of cycling, and I’m still counting.
I’m a BIG, BIG music lover. Music touches me…! It can make me happy, sad and even makes me cry! There is nothing better in the hole world than a good concerts! I even wake up in the morning listing to the radio….
Last but not least I’m a traveller, I haven’t done the big backpacking experience yet! As a prof bike-racer you kind of don’t make any money, so far the travelling as been minimize to Europe! Ever since my mum and dad brought me a couple of months old to Italy I have been hooked on seen new places, meeting new people and experience new cultures! There is only one aspect I hate about travelling, that is returning home, because it means that the journey is over… for now…!
This blog will mostly contain info about my life on the bike, since most of my time takes place on or around my bikes.
I will try to keep the blog updated as often as possible.
